“Buy a Lady a Drink” Fundraiser
Back in 2016 the Webster Jazz Festival participated in a worldwide program to help families in need get access to local clean drinking water. Partnering with Stella Artois and water.org through their “Buy a Lady a Drink” campaign the Webster Jazz Festival along with your help was able to bring a sustained source of local clean drinking water to several hundred individuals.
Over 2 billion people in the world today lack access to local reliable clean water and have to travel several miles EVERYDAY to meet their family's needs. This responsibility mostly falls upon the women and children of the household taking valuable time away from school hours and work time which inhibits economic growth in their community.
At our August 16th “Jazz on the Street” event you’ll be able to buy a glass of Stella Artois at the beer truck with all proceeds going to our “Buy a Lady a Drink“ fundraiser. One glass of Stella means one more person gets local access to clean water.
If you can’t make it to the Festival and would like to contribute directly to our campaign, please click here: give.water.org/fundraiser/10413
Remember every dollar we raise helps bring clean water for drinking and sanitation to another family’s doorstep.
